The Hammock Gear quilt is probably going to be the lightest and highest quality quilt you can find for about $200. If you're looking to save a little more, this GoLite quilt might be a good option:

Given the amount of down in the quilt (7.75 oz of 800+ fill for a Regular), I don't know why GoLite says it's a 40 degree quilt. It should probably be rated about 35F. I've read of multiple people using the bag at 30F who have stayed warm, one even pushed it to 25F with a jacket on just fine.
That said, the HG quilt would probably be worth the extra money in the long run.
My Golite 40 degree quilt will burn you up..have to sleep in the nude most of the times..with the right undies on,,,you can get to 30 with no problems,,but that is just for me. I don't know how cold natured you are.
whats your gameplan for under your buttstuff? either way you go bag or quilt from my understanding you will compress anything you lie on so its either pad or UQ. and from what ive seen in all the gorge rat flicks and what not on youtube his quilts are whats making the headlines..

JRB sierra stealth ... around $200 and it also can be used as your puffy jacket
so it will save you weight since you don't need to take a jacket with you
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
Absolutely correct.
+1 on the Hammockgear quilt. I don't think you will find a lighter option, and I LOVE my winter Incubator! Will you be using this in a hammock or on the ground? On the ground, make sure you have a good pad that can get you to 35F also. In a hammock, the quilt makes even more sense due to added mobility. Just make sure you have a pad, or even better an underquilt, that can get you to your desired temperature.
"The Road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
Pursuing it with eager feet
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."
