The Hammock Gear quilt is probably going to be the lightest and highest quality quilt you can find for about $200. If you're looking to save a little more, this GoLite quilt might be a good option:

    http://www.backcountrygear.com/catal...ductID=GLT1329

Given the amount of down in the quilt (7.75 oz of 800+ fill for a Regular), I don't know why GoLite says it's a 40 degree quilt. It should probably be rated about 35F. I've read of multiple people using the bag at 30F who have stayed warm, one even pushed it to 25F with a jacket on just fine.

That said, the HG quilt would probably be worth the extra money in the long run.

JRB sierra stealth ... around $200 and it also can be used as your puffy jacket
so it will save you weight since you don't need to take a jacket with you
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

    Absolutely correct.

+1 on the Hammockgear quilt. I don't think you will find a lighter option, and I LOVE my winter Incubator! Will you be using this in a hammock or on the ground? On the ground, make sure you have a good pad that can get you to 35F also. In a hammock, the quilt makes even more sense due to added mobility. Just make sure you have a pad, or even better an underquilt, that can get you to your desired temperature.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."
