The dates I listed are Thursday-Sunday.
That Thursday I plan on going out and putting up some signs/markers of some
sort to make it as easy as possible to get there.
Some forest roads can be confusing.

I am also planning on backpacking around the area and exploring area trails.
Anyone who can get the extra day is free to join.
    And fish

I discussed this with my better half and she suggested that we may actually stay Saturday night. We have a 7 yo son and a 2 yo daughter, so my wife and daughter may stay in our tent. I'm sure my son would choose the hammock over the tent, as would I.

Gary, my big question for you is how far of a hike is it from the parking spot to the campsite? It looks like I may be lugging some "creature comforts" for the family up to the camp site.

For everyone that is there, I'm working on a new, fairly-portable hammock stand and should have a prototype for you to try out and review.

The distance's have been covered in this thread.
you will want to take the 1/2 mile route.

I'm not sure you will want to carry in a hammock stand lol.
    Sounds like effort.

I've got three kids of my own. I guess the question was more for those without kids. Sometimes seeing that youthful enjoyment of the out doors is invigorating and fun.

QUOTE=PropellerHead;519072]bgraybackpacker, I wasn't sure if the folks planning this event wanted kids in their camp. As a parent, the kids are the reason for the camping. But many non-parents don't appreciate kids around. I understand that and didn't want to cause any stress if that was the case.

EricFromPortland, PM is on the way. Thanks!
