Okay, so yesterday was a total "goat rodeo" kind of day, but we made it to the hang for a little while.

It was nice to meet some of the other forumites. Gary_R, wierd1, GreenMan, SMJerry (and son) thanks for the hospitality and good information.

The kids made the hike into the site with minimal whining. My wife did get a little sunburn on the back of her neck though.

Once we found the site, Randy (GreenMan I presume) welcomed us as the rest of the gang was out collecting salmon berries and huckleberries.

We quickly set up a few of our DIY hammocks and got to talking and playing around. The kids really liked picking and eating the huckleberries.

The family and I weren't equipped to stay the night yesterday, so we had to leave before the sun got too low in the sky. We all had a good time and look forward to the next time we can go out and hang with you guys.

I'm sure the rest of the gang that was able to stay longer will post back and tell some tales.

(Some of the pictures I took were too blurry to post, sorry about that.)

Nice looking group of peeps, there! Do you think the trees were good enough for hanging? Looks like a nice site. I do like Oregon trees for hanging. Big enough, and seldom have lots of undergrowth.

    Gary,

You guys must have broke camp early. I didn't expect to hear from you guys until late tonight.

Get any more "bumps in the night" last night?

    Mike

    Oregon Hang

As the others have posted.. it was a great weekend, although I only got one night out of it.. it was a great night in the hammock.
Nice to see the guys, the gear, and just hang out.. no pun intended.
Here are a few pics.. I should have a video later.

Great Hanging.. can't wait to do it again.. next time, we need to get more folks out there!
My Son really enjoyed the time, especially the Big Foot Stories!...
    Thanks all
