don't you just hate it when people say "Hot enough for ya?"

Or even worse...."It's not the heat....it's the humidity"

We are cracking 18 days straight come tomorrow in the mid 90's to 100,,but the humidity has been averaging about 75 percent with the dew point at least more than 72 percent,,its been a sauna to say the least. And for the month of july,,Indy only had .44 inches of rain instead of about a avg. of 4.25 inches,,I know Texas has had way way less and needs the rain, and its hotter than hadies.. All I can say to you Texans,,is keep the faith..it can't last forever. Stay cool!

Forecast for 111 degrees here tomorrow. About a week ago we were on the verge of ending 31 straight days of triple digits, with a 50% rain chance which evaporated. Not sure if we broke the trend, but if so only for a day or so. It's been a good time to plan my trips for next year, and I've gotten to read a lot of good books

After I came home from Michigan I asked myself...and why is it I live here??? Oh yeah, winter, but I'm actually thinking I'd handle the cold better. We had snow (a record three times) here last winter each time at least six inches. I was about to buy snowshoes It sure was fun while it lasted. Not saying I'd want to deal with it on a daily basis, but I might

Only about 60 more days to cooler weather.....I hope

It was 110 here today. Looks like we might break the record from 1980.

I wish it would have made the trip. When I got home I did have a liter of Colorado snow melt left in my water bottles. Now that's what I call the high quality H2O.

The best I can do right now is look at the pics and think cool thoughts.

I'm going to the lake tmwr.. going to be high 90's ---> 105 with heat index.
bringing my grand trunk to hang in the shade after I get out of the lake.
I'm thinking of how I can hang the hammock in the lake
that's the closest I'm getting to hanging these days - no overnighters

I'm at about 1700ft and it was 101 at dark a little while ago. I checked the weather for my old home town and tomorrow it will be a 20 mph wind with it at 105F. That wind really takes it out of you and 20 mile an hour sand hurts. Home sweet home.
