Thanks. Care to take a guess at how many of those trees would support hammocks?

Getting off work at 4pm Friday, 1 1/2 drive down... never been to this spot so may be longer. Plan on parking at Red Creek Campground and hiking in.

Save a few trees for me!!

Me and a friend are confirmed! We'll probably arrive at the trailhead around 9:00pm Friday. We're gonna hike to the first camp site via headlamp. I'm so excited!!

    WV,

I camped in that spot many years ago. We squeezed in two tents. I can't recall well but I would say that one hammock might be all you'd get right there. The area around there is fairly open also but there are more trees where the Breathed Mt. tr. drops down towards Red Creek. Not sure of their size though. Not really much help but that's all I've got.

Plans changed here. My hiking buddy was subjected to mandatory overtime Friday night so we will now be arriving around lunch time Saturday. Bummer.

Things have gotten a little crazy around here the last few weeks. I don't know yet if I will make it or not. If I do, it probably won't be until sometime Saturday late morning/early afternoon. Be safe and have fun! If I can't make it, I sure would like to see lots of pics from those that go.

I'll be somewhere near the Red Creek campground around 1. Going to hike around for a coupla' three hours (no idea where), then make my way to camp. See you all there.

Provided I don't get too..uh.. directionally challenged, it looks like I should be at Red Creek around 2:30-3. I'm staying there the whole weekend and banding birds and just getting away from it all. Look forward to seeing you guys!
