Looks like the campsite is just barely upstream from the Hwy47 boat ramp. I'm guessing there's some parking there so maybe you can park and just paddle the mile or so upstream to the camp?

Yes the site is only about a mile upstream from the 47 bridge put in/take out. And yes the current is fairly strong - but then it's only about a mile. So I'm thinking about parking o'night at the 47 bridge and save the shuttle fee. I'm a little worried about leaving the car for two nights so I haven't decided yet. Otherwise it's about a 3 1/2 hour paddle (a nice, easy trip) from the 27 bridge put in, plus $30 to shuttle.

So many trees, so little time...
I'll call the Water Management folks. It's possible that we may be able to get the combination to the gate and park on the access road for the land track. I'll share once I know something one way or the other.

It looks like there may be good parking at the boatramp another mile downstream from the 47 bridge.
I just spoke with the Water Management District. The park at the 47 bridge is a county park and overnight parking is prohibited. Parking for the day is fine and you are welcome to hike over to the campsite though.
Also, there is no overnight parking allowed on the admin road for the tract.
Timberrr and I will be putting in at the 27 bridge and paddling down to the site. If anyone needs a ride back to the Canoe Outpost on the 21st, it's easy enough to do.
Hope that helps!
I see it on the map you sent me from SRMD, it shows boatramp and parking, on the north side of the river just off SW Hollingsworth St. I don't see it on the SanteFeRiver.com map. Not sure.....

We started pulling gear together today. The new tarp came in! Finally a tarp we can put both hammocks under.
Does anyone object to taco soup, cornbread and baked apples for dinner on Saturday evening?
If we happen to get our hands on some Suwannee Trout, I'll bake or fry them up with some lemon, garlic and butter. Enough so that we can all have a taste. I doubt we will get enough for a full meals since bass are not as easy to catch as some other types of fish. At least that has always been my experience.
