My first DIY project was based off of the My Take On DIY Hennessy Hammock. A Tutorial. thread. If I remember correctly it was said that this design gave a bit more room for the the shoulders. I really do love this design.
I have been thinking about making a gathered end hammock but don't want to loose the "room for shoulders" that the whipped end hammock provides.
So I guess my question is, would there be a down side to making a hammock with both a whipped end (head end) and a gathered end (foot end). This would save some weight in fabric and I could still have ridgeline integrated through the gather/whip.
So what do all the DIY hammock experts say out there?
