    Best guyline knot discovered!

I've discovered the best guyline knot. One that is so tight that no earthly or human or heavenly force can undo it. This knot is the knot that is tied by the wind in your flapping guylines when you are rushing to tear down your campsite and get back to the car fast when a thunder/lightning/hail/tornado storm is bearing down on you. Oh, if only I could tie knots so destined to never come undone.

My motto has been that if you can't tie a good knot, tie a lot of 'em!

That wind has had a lot of practice over thousands of years tying knots. Hard to match that kind of experience!

I hate to brag, but I think I tie that one better than almost anyone on this forum--could probably do it in the vacuum of space, sans wind or even solar flares.

Still, I hear nacrabiners are almost as hard to undo in similar conditions...
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

I think the knot you are referring to is called the "Hatchet" Knot.....(because that is the only way to remove it) and I have experienced them on occasion myself....and I blamed it all on the wind too!!!!

Those are called "hope" knots...usually because you "hope" they will hold...in this case you "hope" they come undone!

In fly fishing it's called a wind knot and I'll be d*@#$d if I can get it undone in under 5 minutes. Meanwhile, trout watch and scoff
