Props on using the word exsanguinated!

Ya I think I've made up my mind to order the DL 1.1 WBBB with the "easier" straps and no rainfly.

I'm the kind of guy who likes to do my homework when it comes to gear. I need to put some legwork into rainflies.

The double seems more versatile, more comfortable, and it only burns 4 oz. Probably a better choice for the beginner. I go for lightweight when I can, but the point of this whole hammock exercise is to get off the ground and get a good night's sleep. If I am more comfortable in a flatter, less bite-y, hammock, that is worth 4 oz. Plus, it's the best color!

Gonna go fo the easy straps because I'm sure I'll be upgrading to something like Whoopies eventually so I'll go w/ ease of setup for now.

Thanks for all the help everyone! I'll post back after my first night!

if you have the money.... get the UQ with the Hammock...
    as for your 1st question

yes it's because there is no bugs out so you don't need the extra weight of the bug net...

as for what one will fit your needs all of them will work
if you wanna save a few oz get the single 1.1 but i think the single 1.7 will be perfect for you ... it gives you a little extra headway in case you gain a few lbs .....
but get the UQ now .... if you find hammocks are not for you you can sell your WBBB and UQ for just about what you paid for it pretty fast ... so it's a win win if you ask me
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

I agree with all of that, except you may find the 1.1 DL a better fit than the 1.7 SL. The 1.1 DL has a higher weight rating, more versatility, better bug barrier, and only weighs 2 oz more than the 1.7 SL. I think Brandon offers a bundle if you buy the hammock and uq (or tarp) from him at same time. I've never used his quilts, but I've heard nothing but good things. The hammocks and tarps are excellent! Love my BMJ!

@ G.L.P.: Thanks for the info but too late! Already placed the order for a 1.1 DL w/ no fly or UQ.

@ Flanger: Not as specific as I had hoped but a good data point none the less hehe

@Str1der: I DID order a DL 1.1! Too late for a bundle deal but $175 is easier to swallow right now then $500 for WBBB+UQ+Tarp

I know what you mean. $500.00 is a lot to spend for Hammock, Fly and UQ in one order, but I'm glad I did. I waited till I had the funds saved for all, before placing order, mainly due to the fact that I live so far away from you guy's and I wanted to keep the freight costs down, so thought best to order all at once.

You got a get yourself a UQ, there brilliant. including the hammock and fly. everything Brandon makes is brilliant.

It WOULD save me a few bucks, but the shipping on my hammock was only $10. Also, this is my 1st plunge into hammock camping/sleeping so I'm not ready to drop that kinda cash.

I expect that I'll get a UQ & fly here soon. Just dunno quite when or from who

Can't wait to get my WBBB DL 1.1!

The WBBB 1.1 DL arrived yesterday!

I am going to "attempt" to sleep in it tonight! The only thing I'm worried about is that it is hot as balls here in GA right now and I have to be alert enough tomorrow for work :/
