I was in a thrift store the other day and came across some sheer curtains that look like good material for a bug net. Anybody try that? The one I found is 60"x84" and 7oz. I'm thinking some sort of light partial net.

Yup!! I made my first bug net from a 100 % polyester curtain sheer that was 180 inches x 60 inches that I picked up at the Dog & Cat Flea Market benefitting our Humane Society for two bucks!!! It was great, except it was a pale green and it wasn't the easiest thing to see through. But it was a good start, and heck! You couldn't beat the price! Good luck!
