Welcome from west Texas. I look forward to hearing about combining motorcycling and hammocking.
Welcome to HF from Mass.
Anyone interested in motorcycle camping, whether hammock or tent, should check out advrider.com .
Anyone interested in excellent pizza should just come to Crozet

I grew up in Albemarle proper, but I won't hold that you live in Crozet against you. Our highschool band was better, even though Western's football team always beat the crap out of us. Our cheerleaders were prettier and didn't chew tobacco.
Unless it is Friday and one rides a Harley.

All kidding aside. You are in a great location with a great city nearby with real library's, museums, music venues, and the like, and you sit at the gateway to some of the country's great riding areas going to the south, west, or north.
Please put me on the invite list if you put together a ride'n'hang.

With a moniker like Snoremachine, I'll put you on the noisy list.
So, does that mean you camp off of a Harley? That's pretty stealthy of you.
I'm more DS oriented, not that I'm prejudiced or anything...
Yes it's a great area for all kinds of activities. And Crozet has changed a lot. (I've only been here 13 years so I can't say much about the HS girls. Well, I shouldn't anyway...)

Howdy & welcome from New London.

No one can say that I don't give my fellow campers fair warning! Maybe it will keep bears or mountain lions away??
Still have the stock pipes. But yeah... it is kinda hard to hide an ultra in the woods at night, especially when it is white and chrome.
This is my first Harley, and now that I ride one it is interesting what assumptions people make, both HD haters and admirers. Of course, in my ATGATT gear, I get curious looks from all groups. Except the DS'rs, they mostly judge on how dirty a bike is. I am usually fine after a long trip.
IMHO- DS'rs really show what a motorcycle can do. Kinda like the GP folk on the curvy and speedy end of things. The off road part takes more physicality and different skills than I have at the moment. But working on it... recently got a royal enfield that I hope to get out on some of those fire roads near the blue ridge. Back to basics.
. Crozet Pizza has always been great. Been awhile since I've had it though. Maybe it calls for a RTE (RideToEat) or, on this forum, a ETC (EatToCamp).
