    Schedule of events

I'll be arriving at the campsite sometime in the early Friday afternoon and setting up camp. I'll have a manikin in the car at the trail head, but we'll wait until Sunday to do the skills for those doing CPR when everyone will be together at the same time. I expect that we'll be breaking camp around noon to give everyone time to journey back to their homes.

I'll plan on starting class officially after dinner, which will consist of sitting around a fire and discussing some intro to the topic and getting an idea of everyone's level of experience with the topic. We'll leave the heavy hitting for Saturday. I expect that everyone should be at camp by around 8PM, but feel free to come earlier and let me know if you're going to arrive later than that.

Don't forget you are responsible for your own food and camping gear just like a normal hang.

    Don't forget your books.

If you are just now reading this thread and want to participate, there are spots still open. If it's too late to register online, bring cash or a check to the hang and we'll sort the paperwork out later. Also, its free to just join us for the weekend, but we might ask you to volunteer to be a wounded hiker or something, so come at your own risk.

Come on then! Register if you are registering, show up if you are not. It'll be a good time had by all.

Are there any fees at the park or permits I should be aware of? I am coming from out of state and just want to double check.

If there were, I'd take care of them, but there aren't any. The restrictions center mainly around getting firewood from the local area to keep insects and diseases from spreading. Read for yourself about the rules for those that are interested in such things. Isinours has a designated campsite, but there is no fee. The campsite isn't very big so much of our group will be dispersed camping in the woods nearby using the "Leave No Trace" philosophy.

I got a message yesterday from the redcross that I didn't have the minimum signed up for the class yet. If you have been holding off, this is the time to do so. If you are planning on attending the hang and aren't signing up for the class, let me know please.

Yes, we are having the class anyway even if we are a little light on folks.

I have signed up and will be there
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
