Has anyone checked out this budget tarp?

At 14' x 12' it's huge. But we would be two people under it so huge is good.
It comes with "porch poles" and corner tie-outs. But it looks like it would need a CRL and perhaps some panel tie-outs.
It says "lightweight" but I'm sure that doesn't mean UL!
It's by Coleman so that tells me it's basic servicable stuff.
Has anyone seen it for less than $50 (shipping included)?

"Lightweight" on Amazon shows a shipping weight just shy of 12lbs. If you're just car camping it would be OK but I wouldn't want to paddle or pack it anywhere. The description mentions over and over about providing shade and the SPF factor but doesn't say anything about the seams being sealed or it being waterproof.

The couple of reviews I read said it was very difficult to put up (what freestanding fly isn't?). If you're just rigging it between two trees it shouldn't be any worse than your average large tarp. I agree that a CRL would be the way to go.

I think you'd get more bang for the buck going with a kelty Noah 12. If you've got the room you can rig it diagonal (huge sun shade, 17' diagonal) or if the weather threatens then rig it A-frame and pull down the sides.

Coleman I believe makes 2 different versions of these. The one you show is the larger of the 2 with more poles. I looked at these about a year ago but the weight scared me away from them and I settled on a Chinook tarp for under $30.00. If you are car camping though it would probably work OK.

The shipping weight on Amazon includes stakes and four steel poles. The tarp itself is similar in spec to the Kelty Noah, which is 12x12 at 2.5 lb. one side of the Coleman one is silvered to reflect sunshine, so would reflect heat back into the interior to a certain extent. grosgrain arunod all sides and along the ridgeline should allow a taut pitch, grosgrain tie outs will perform much better than grommets,
