    Sorta wannabe a newbie

Hi, my name is Cardo and I am a seeker from crazyguyonabike. I put together a complete kip, then tried it on the bike. I made some mistakes. Volume is as important as weight on a bike - sure, you can tie it on but it's sail area working against you in all but a tailwind.

My gear for hangin': (Stuff I have.)
Tarp: Bearpaw designs 9.5' X 10' silny flat
    UQ/TQ: JRB Shenandoah
    TQ(?): Ray's Way
    Huggers: 1" X 6'
pad(?): Big Agnes Insulated Air Core

    Need(?+):
    Hammock: Hennessey or WarBonnet?
    Mozzy net: Built-in or Slide-over-bag?
Cover(undercover) your ***: Double layer, double bubble, CCF, Neo-Air?

    Unto the forums!

sounds like you have a good plan- just keep testing the various combinations. buy good stuff the first time, even if you have to wait and save for it; you will appreciate it so much more once you have tried to get going on the cheap (not that there is anything wrong with that!)
