Cleaning a Down Sleeping Bag

I dropped by a local thrift store to look for a down sleeping bag I can use as a underquilt. I found one for $9.00. It looks clean but you never know. Is there a good way of cleaning this bag? I've never had anything down so I don't know if there's anything to look out for. Thanks!

Basically soak in the bathtub using some gentle soap or special down wash (no dish soap or laundry detergent). Rinse several times. Let drip dry as much as possible. Then dry very slowly in a front load commercial dryer on a low setting. Toss in a few clean tennis balls to break up the down clusters. Be careful during all these operations as the wet, heavy down can possibly rip out the internal baffles.

I got some "sport wash" at Wal-Mart that worked pretty well on my down bag turned TQ.

If its a nice windy day, hang the quilt outside to dry. Check on it every hour or so and shake and fluff.

I've read the links. Looks like quite a job cleaning these things. I guess once I get it cleaned once, I won't get it dirty again!
