    My biggest fear was pulling that loop into the sling!! Russ and I ensure there are tiny S biners that never move from that loop. That saved us at Placid!!

    Nice hike. Thanks for sharing the trip report. The book you mentioned, "Grasping for Heaven" sounded interesting. I've added to my amazon wish list to read next.
