i have a slightly stupid and embarrassing question for you guys:

i think when i reserved the campsite, i did so for one unneeded day. im thinking i requested friday, saturday AND sunday, meaning you can stay over sunday night. as far as i know, everyone has planned on packing and leaving sunday, so its just unneeded.

is anyone planning on staying sunday night too? if not, ill shift the site a little and put the extra day towards another site so we can expand.

hey guys, just wanted to check in real quick, let everyone know that im super stoked about the hang next weekend, and look forward to giving away some free gear!!! im still debating on how to do this, whether it be a contest, raffle or otherwise.

I know for sure someone's walking away with some knives, a gear hammock/camp chair (if you weigh less than 180...), whoopie slings & soft shackles and other gear as it comes in! ill have a full list of vendors involved at the hang, with the gear.

hey guys, just wanted to let you all know some awesome news! just got a package today and MAN are you guys going to be lucky...

someone is walking away with a tadpole tarp w/seam sealer, 2 of you will have a shot at Pillows and 2 will have the chance for gear lofts!

im making a list of things that will score these prizes, like Best Rig etc (i dont want to give all the details away just to make sure its fair-ish!)

Just wanted to let you guys know a little something i want to do: ive had some vendors toss me some cool items to let you guys take home with you. since theyve been awesome with gear, i want everyone to be able to at least SEE the stuff before they get ferreted into their gear.

ive also kicked in some gear ive picked up, as well as some for the swap meet!!!

Hey Rev! What is the plan for the communal meal? Do I need to plan on bringing something or are we fending for ourselves all weekend?

theres not been a focused meal plan, so unless we want to meet and plan/shop in town, then i think its BYOF stuff. unless someone would like to organize the food situation and a meal/cooking plan, then maybe we can all bring some snacks that dont need cooking.

also, i have a great idea that i got from the grayson hang.

I will be holding a raffle for the prizes and the money will go to the park as a donation with some set aside for the next hang so we can make this an annual thing. ill do it like they did at the grayson hang, with 2 levels of prizes. i think this will work out well and leave a positive lasting impression on the park. im going to be doing some thinking on this and will have more details later, but i can say it will include some Dutch gear (possibly with the newest Dutch invention....) and a couple awesome things from WL like a Tadpole Tarp (which i now want after looking at....) and 2 hammock pillows!!!
