Has anyone tried a Micro Bead Pillow?

I'm a back sleeper and just testing the waters, trying to figure out what issues I may have and try to find remedies before I dive in to hammock camping. I sleep on my side normally, but I'm not a position specific sleeper, what would be best for head support as I do not want to wake up with a stiff neck...

I have something similar that I'm testing. It's too big and I'm tempted to let some of the beads out. Plus it traps heat...which might be nice in the winter, but sucks so far this summer.

Works great as a knee pillow for you back sleepers.

from that picture maybe we can help you adjust your rig and find that sweet spot. once you find it you'll find it everytime...
    see my gallery. thx

Oh, I didn't realize it was such a good insulator, they make 'tube' style pillows, perhaps they would be better for neck\head support?

I used a bead pillow the first time in my hammock in 89ºF weather and in a few minutes my neck was on fire and the thing was drenched in sweat. It will be a go to thing in the winter though.
Every time I hang in a tree I get a coconut to the head.....stupid coconuts

    Thanks for Help

Thanks all. I have had two great nights in the hammock. I discovered I was hanging it too tight. Gave it more slack and presto...great sleeping. I did have to adjust the rigdeline to keep netting out of my face and I am now using a small neck/travel pillow, but this morning I just wanted to sleep in
I didn't have a good place to hang my hammock, so yesterday I built an arbor in back garden that just happens to have two posts 12' apart . Now I can go hang anytime I desire.

Nearly every Hennessy set-up video I have seen, shows way too tight of set-up. After first noticing this, I started using Brandon's Blackbird set-up instructions for my Hennessy.

I experienced the same thing, and remedied it by using a small down pillow at the base of my neck. sounds obvious, but I was initially using a pillow that was a bit too large.I downsized and the issue cleared right up.
