I'm new, too, got my first hammock earlier this year, and will be taking it on its first "live" event over Labor Day weekend in Colorado - backpacking & climbing Mount Lindsay.

i'm jealous, we took a trip in early july to colorado and coming back was no fun. my hammock was in the works but not completed for the trip, i hope to get out for several trips in the fall. hope you have a fun trip!
