    Knee, shoulder, and back pain.

All of this happens in our fancy pillow top bed. In a bed, I can't sleep on my R/S, or on my back. In a bed my knees ache in the morning.
None of this bothers me in a hammock. I feel my hammock trips allow me recovery time from the bed.

Sounds like you need a hammock in the house or a memoryfoam mattress.

Been fulltime for over 6 weeks now and will never go back to a bed.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

Wow, sounds like you've got a crappy bed.

Precisely why I sleep in a hammock at home every night now. Vacations are becoming harder to get excited about since I know that I'll be stiff and uncomfortable sleeping in a bed.

x2! for the memory foam mattress! We've got a 4lb memory foam topper, I'm never going back to a regular bed! Even our pillow top mattress has nothing on the memory foam! Just remember to 'flip' and 'rotate' your regular mattress otherwise you sink in quite far!

Beast, I won't argue that. But over a regular mattress or even a pillow top, its night and day. Kinda like going from the ground to a hammock. We had a pillow top. I hated it. I have a 5" topper on ours now and I can sleep on it and still be able to walk the next day, but I will toss and turn though out the night. Its a toss up whether or not I'll have to pop my shoulder when I get up from the bed. I haven't had to yet when I sleep in the hammock. I haven't found a way to get it into the bedroom yet. But I'm working on it.

Yep, pretty much spot-on for the reason I haven't owned a bed in about 4 years.
