    Newbie from Sweden

    Hi!

I'm all new to this, haven't even tried it yet, but I'm going to
At this point I trying to come to terms with myself if I'm going to make or by a hammock. And no matter what I decide, there are like one million of new decisions to make. Material, cost, weight, length, thickness... But that's all part of the fun!

Other than that I can tell you I'm a 34 year old guy living in the south parts of Sweden (Skåne for you who might know some of it). I'm not that frequent in the woods, but I do like to come out as often as I can. I'm trying to get my son with me as much as possible, and he really likes the idea of a hammock in the forest

Or this might just turn into one of these things that blow over in a week. We'll see... So far, so fun!

Welcome to the trees and HF from Mass. Unfortunately it sounds like you have caught the DIY bug...it is hard on the wallet and uncurable!

Thanks for all the welcomes! It's really nice
Also nice to have a fellow swede here...

I've always had a DIY bug, and this seems rather straight forward, so I might just give it a go. We'll see. I'll start digging in the forums for tips on what kind of fabrics that are needed or good and so on. See you in there!
