how do you add a structural ridgeline with whoopie slings?

One more question.................when using whoopie slings for your hammock suspension, how do you add a structural ridgeline? I used a strap suspension before, and it was easy---just sew on a d ring------------thanks for the info!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

You can just larks head them on to your suspension. I larks headed the fixed eye end and used a soft shackel for the adjustable end.

The easiest way is to just run your whoopie slings through the eyes at each end of the RL.

    +1 on that,

Just undo the whoopie in the channel without taking it out of the channel, so that you have access to the end. Slip the ridge line over the tail and re-thread the whoopie back as normal. That way the ridge won't flop around when the hammock is not loaded and the ridge is tied into your suspension right at the base of the whoopie where it joins the hammock.

Here is a little vid that Bushman of the Yukon did a while back that shows it with buckles on chain links but it's the same process.
