Blackbird tie outs and pitching tarp low to the ground.

During the summer I don't have any issues with the tie outs of the hammock interfering with the tarp. With cooler weather approaching, I was wondering what you do with your tie outs if you pitch your tarp all the way to the ground? Do you let them hang or do you let the tarp push them down? Any tips?

BTW, I have a WBBB DL1.0 and superfly tarp.

I have just pitched the tie-outs so they just touch the bottom of my tarp on the way to the stake. (if that makes any sense)

I dont use the net in the cooler temps and thus dont use the tie outs as I keep the hammock open by tossing the net over the shelf area.

I connect it, loosly, to the stake that holds the tarp down.
