Furoshiki Hammock Pack

I was wonder if anyone else has used their hammock as their pack by wrapping everything up and carrying it in a sling?
My thought is that you are taking 3+ yards of fabirc and rope and putting it into a bag. Why not just use it FOR the bag?

In the past, I've just take my pad and rolled it up and stuffed everthing into it. I usually put a strap around the pad to keep it from open any larger. Then put it into the middle of the hammock and roll it all up. Tie off the ends using another strap and then wear it like a sling.
Kind of like Otsukai Tsutsumi or Bin Tsutsumi 2 but everything in the middle instead of on each side of center.

I keep the part that goes over my shoulder wider to spead the weight which is only around 8 pounds for me.

Love the furoshiki idea. I happen to just recently got a small piece of tissue with simple furoshiki instructions as a birthday present and really liked the idea if simply wrapping up all your stuff.

I like the idea of dual functionality. I'm wondering if an underquilt could pull double duty as a pack/sling?
