Taking down/stuffing the Blackbird

I received my Blackbird last week and watch several videos on setup but haven't seen anything regarding best practices on putting it away in the stuff sack. I have no idea if it's just "stuffable" or there is a preferred method of stuffing so it's either easier to hang the next time, and/or makes sure I don't damage it cramming it into the sack haphazard. Sorry if this has been covered before, but I searched and didn't find anything useful. Thanks!

I have been cramming mine in for years and have had no problems.

when I'm ready to take it down, I will zip up the bugnet, and put the tieouts inside/over the hammock.

I then undo both ends of the stuff sack and position it in the middle of the hammock, and sinch down one end. With the other end open, I'll unclip my webbing on one tree (I have the adjustable webbing), while keeping some tension in the hammock to prevent it touching the ground (that way it doesn't get dirty if its been raining all night).

I then fold/bunch up the hammock util I reach the stuffsack in the middle and then stuff it all in. After its all in, I'll tighten the stuffsack shut, open the other end and stuff the hammock all the way in working my way to the tree, until I get to the end of my tarp, then I'll unclip the webbing, stuff it in, and I'm all done.

Stopping at the end of the tarp allows me to kepe dry, and I'm only have my arm/part of my body in the rain for a few seconds to undo the webbing.

I've found this way works great for me, and its quick and easy.

When stuffing my BB back in it bag I close off one end of the stuff bag leaving the webbing out and just "stuff" the hammock and webbing into the open end of the bag. Then I open up the other end and stuff the webbing into the bag. Takes longer to stuff the hammock back into the back than it does to take it out and hang it.

I changed out the one off the cord locks and put a a different colored cord line on the stuff bag with a different colored cord lock to ID the head end of the hammock when taking it out the bag.

+1 I did the same and it makes is so much easier to setup the hammock. It is very frustrating to set it up just to have it backwards to how you wanted it.

My WBBB fits easily into a single DD hammock sleeve. Cinch up each end and you're done.Takes about 30 odd seconds

The only thing I'd add to this, is that I got two carabiners in different colors. One Red and one Brown. That helps me remember which is (Red) Head and (Brown) Down.

I put white tape on the headend carabiner and I also have Snakeskins for my Blackbird that work sooooooo nice. I also have mesh snakeskins for my tarp. If you look on the left side of the hammock you can see I still use the stuff sack.
