    I really doubt they can become immune and gain resistance to repellants. Their life is too short and the amount of mosquitoes that encounter it is way less than the population as a whole.

    Tics are horrible here in NJ, not so bad in Maine though. Did some backpacking in June in the Pine Barrens....did Batsto to Carranza Memorial. Altogether I literally found 30 - 40 + ticks on me for the duration of the two day trip. The trails were a bit neglected thanks to budget cuts so a good portion was over run - which wouldn't normally bother me if it wasn't for tics!

    idk how far do they range if they tested around population centers it makes sense that the mosquitoes locally would face enough culling to breed up a resistance where as if they went out to the bush and tested em I'd doubt they would see much of any I could be wrong its just my 2 cents on the story. tic flat out don't like me i cant remember when the last time if ever I've found one on me i hope i didnt just jinx myself
