Glad to here ur starting to warm up. Another suggestion is that when its really cold ill take my JRB sleeves or an xtra piece of clothing and put it under my rump. That some times helps prevents CBS (cold but syndrome)
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

ditto on the JRB weather shield!! It adds at least 10 degrees. Also, get a sleeping bag liner. I use the Sea to Summit Reactor bag; light and takes you down another 10 degrees. The reactor bag brought a 20 degree bag to 10 and saved my trip when it went to 12 in December.

Russ and I have been down to 11 F. Long underware top and bottom, wool socks, and a wool hat (if you are cold, put on a hat cause a large percent of heat comes off your head.) If it is REALLY COLD we have a down sweater. Never had a problem. Your mileage may vary....

Oh!!! Forgot that!!! Boil up a nalgene of water; stick it in a sock and stick that in your burrow 15 minutes before you get in. mmmmmm.....toasty!
