Success! Well if you define that as not falling though the hammock your first time testing it out. I made a pile of mistakes and just decided to live with them. I'll make some adjustments with out taking any of my seams out.

I started the seam for the foot box 12 inches down from the whipping thinking I new better then everyone else. So I have a ton of room for my feet, but it doesn't form wall like it should. Also the joann mystery poly liner I used stretches in PART of the angle in the footbox because it is on a bias. I'm thinking about trying a zip gather 6 inches down to see if that helps any. I might play with a folding type gather too.

Either way it fits me better then my simple 9 foot gathered hammock.

I'll post some pictures after I finish adjusting a few things

Well good for you than. I felt like I made my share of mistakes too. But for some reason or another they all kind of worked out. Even though my hammock has turned out so far I have the desire to make another one and fix a few of my mistakes. I am now in wait mode for the amsteel rope to get here for my permanent suspension lines and do my final set up. Then I will be done with this phase of the project.

I guess the old saying works here. "It is better to try and fail and try and fail again. Than it is to try and fail and fail to try again."
