Don't let lack of gear stand in your way of coming along on the Mobbs trip. I can loan you my spare tarp (DD 3x3) and though I don't have a spare UQ I can certainly loan you a Thermarest and/or a blue CCF pad - it'll probably be about a 5degC overnight minimum up there next month so underneath insulation is a must. Let us know if you're lacking other stuff and we may be able to help you out.
Borrowing a tarp would be good. I just tried the blue hardware store tarp I have and it's too small (probably a good thing anyway). I have a Thermarest already so that's covered at least. It'll do until I get a UQ.

No worries I'll bring the spare tarp along - at least to the car park at Dunphys. Not generous enough to pack it in for you unfortunately.

I would love to go but unfortunately, events have conspired against me that weekend.

Just bought my first hammock, HH Expedition and I'm keen to try it out. Would have been great to meet a few seasoned campaigners and to reduce the learning curve.

The weathers warming up, so I'm sure there will be a next time soon.

Have fun and post some pics or vids.

Hey Marwood, I just picked up a Hennessy hex tarp from Trek and Travel (I didn't know they stocked Hennessy stuff, pretty cool). So you can either leave it behind or lend it to another newbie.

You sure you don't want to pack in my tarp for me though?

What better to do on a Monday morning before getting into the working week ahead......

Get gee'd up about the weekend thats at the end of it.

Marwood flicked me some files a few weeks back, I have printed choped and scanned them into one map showing the tracks the Marwood speaks of in the first post.

Weather is looking good at this stage with both days forecasted as sunny with highs a low 20's and mins of 7.

Have a great trip guys.... oh and gal's.
Sounds like a nice spot, wish I could come but cannot be in two places at once.

I'll be out at Ulan rogaining in the state 24hr comp. Oh I can feel the pain already.

Just tore up 125kms/4days last week on the GNW from Somersby to Speer's point in training. Feel are killing me as I've switched to light trail runners, good move and hikings easier but my feet have some adjusting to do. Had one 43km day so I guess even in boots my feet would be feeling that.

Might be able to work in some of the Sydney sections of the GNW for future Hike & Hang's as it's local for most of you I think.

Hope the weather man is generous, looking good at this stage.
I am a GEAR JUNKIE and GRAM COUNTER !!

There, It's out. I said it, Ahh I feel better now
