Thanks for the video mate. If only it could convey the heat and the smell of the sun on the eucalypts. And it's way steeper up and down those ridges than it looks. Good to meet some other hangers, but what's with a clean sweep of WB Blackbirds? Good thing there was a range of packs and stoves and other gear - DIY and otherwise - to get the gear talk going. <SHUG> I likes me some gear talk. Hmmmmm. </SHUG>
Mobbs sure is a great site -so many hanging options actually takes longer to choose your trees. With that many possibilities nothing short of the perfect hang is good enough! For anyone who's thinking of going up there in the next while, water in the creek is starting to get scarce and it looks like it'll be dry by the end of October unless there's a decent amount of rain in the meantime.
My 'Lesson Learned' for the trip: When you stop for a break, don't stand on top of a bullant nest.

Hey Wizard, I'm a dead set fan of the Bongo, you can do anything with it. Tinny's new M series is worth having a look at. We have a total of 6 which is starting to be the usual number more or less. Always keen to get a larger group together - hope you can make the next one!
Cheers Mate, I use the Olyimpus tough 3000. great little thing (waterproof and dropable) long distance sound would be the only draw back - just gotta yell at it!
Your right mate..... Those Wild Dog Mountains bit me on the butt and chased me our of their yeard!!!! And what about the sounds of the tress at night in the wind
<Carl> Hmmm Them tress make me nervous.....
Thanks for a great weekend. Apologies that I kept everyone waiting for nearly an hour. I will make it up next time with some orange baked muffins for all.... :-)
Nice to meet Dero and Dreadbyte. Looking forward to the game of trivial pursuit next time, and Dero's morning yoga class ;-)
Thanks for the spatula Marwood - I didn't quite beat Lepmeisters fluffed up pancakes but I'll be practicing my killer mix in the kitchen..
Great video Lepmeister...I especially like 'so its not all quite secure in the southern sector' :-)
