Mine is actually IN Umeå since 08.33 this morning. But it won't be delivered to the post office until tomorrow morning. And I don't start work until 16.00, which means I won't get to play with it until friday. Oh, the first world problems we have....

Now i got it as well

My personal main reason for buying this Hammock was to get it before Joz

    So !!!!

    I CURSE DHL !
I CURSE DHL WITH THE WORST FARAO CURSE IMAGINABLE
It left Hamburg on Monday and arrived here on Friday !
It feels like the ordinary post could have matched that ?

But there is one positive thing : How about you Hank, have you got it yet

Ps, i can always pick it up at the Store if it saves time !
Addnature @ Birgerjarlsgatan is best for me !

Haha, ok you got me there. I've been playing with my new car instead. It's been snowing all day so I didn't feel like hammocking. Maybe tomorrow.
XPD or Exped, what's the difference, right?

    Oki . i am back !

How tall are you Joz and Hank ?
I am pygmy sized at 165, and i had perfect size for this hammock

But i don't think you buy this hammock to sleep straight as an arrow ?
I think you plan to sleep on your side ?
And then you tend to draw up your legs a bit (fetal position ) ?

I used a UL Synmat 7 to put in to the pad section.
    But don't know ?
It felt more like i was suspended by the hammock then laying on the pad ?
That might be cold spot warning ?

I was a bit suspicious about the change in the swing, but it felt GOOD
I am not sure i got everything right, but i wanted to lay more asym than the pad pocket allowed for, i have to test more.

The feeling inside felt like a very wide blackbird (minus the butt-hang) and with some modding there is huge storage potential inside.

I can't say i loved the chair mode in this hammock, it just feels awkward to sit on a tiny bit and have the hole hammock pointing up in a 45 degree angle

The tarp is huge and looks like something stolen from Gargoyle !
    It is strange angles everywhere

Its actually a low version of a winter tarp with doors,
only difference is that the doors are on the sides.

The tarp is packed with features like,
tie-outs everywhere, four builtin pockets for your tarp lines and a lot of angles, a lot of angles !

The stock suspension surprised me a bit, much better/cooler than i thought !
    It's almost hardware free.
    I actually might keep that

It's a lightweight, thick (7mm), loose nylon rope with holes every 10 cm.
And you simply just throw that around your tree, feed the end throw three of this holes and thats it
The friction does the rest !

    TO SUM IT UP:
This is a very expensive hammock/tarp that Exped have put a lot of thoughts and engineering into.
    Is it worth it ?
I don't know yet ! I have to test it some more .
It might be a bit over engineered, like the Clark NA ?
I think i like it, but will it replace my:
    • WB Blackbird
    • WB Traveler
    • Nano 7

Nah i doubt it, but the future will tell .

PS, yeah, i filmed a lot with my phone, but my stupid video editing proggie doesn't know what *.mp4 is

There are programs that can take care of that problem.
They transform your mp4 file into anykind of format you want it to be!

I know cause my Panasonic does a strange kind of format that is meant for apple-computers so I need to transform them if I wish to make a movie in Windows Movie Maker. I have a proffesional videoprogram that can handle any kind of format but my computer is to slow to work with that programme!
