Oh no! I've gone off-radar for some time but I see a problem here. We already booked our flights. Landing on 21st, 15:00. Leaving on 25th, 21:00.

Since when is the date changed? Is the only reason for this the extra night/bbq at Swede's? Any chance we can do that at the end, after the trip? :-O

I think you can catch the train no problem to get you back to Stockholm for 9pm on the 25th. With the pace we will be setting you could easily skip the last overnight, which was to be a few km from Gnesta. It is only a few hours from Gnesta to Arlanda.

Oooww... I'm so confused right now..

So, correct me if I'm wrong:
    - Fact: We land on Skavsta at the 21st and made reservations for a hotel for that night (in Stockholm, near the steamboat).
    - Is the steamboat still on for the 22nd?
    - If so, we steamboat our way to Swede's for a bbq on sunday?
    - And can we hang at Swede's for that night or do we have to book another hotel? How big is your backyard??
    - Then on the 23rd we pick up the canoes and sleep two nights in the woods. (Everybody else is going for 3 nights?)
    - The 25th we get up early, canoe to the endpoint en get to Skavsta airport.

How about the canoes? Can we leave the canoes at the endpoint for a night? Or do we have to arrange our canoes to be picked up separately then?

I'm sorry, I think I am a little autistic. Changes are hard for me.

So, WEx and I spoke on the phone today and figured out a few things that are useful for everyone to know:

Skavsta - Stockholm is a busride of about 1h 30min.

Gnesta - Skavsta is a busride of about 1h 30 min. WEx and his friend will just have to skip the last overnight, which should be really close to Gnesta anyway, and paddle on a few extra km to get him shore. We will have to take care of his boat for him, but we should be enough people to get it to shore as well, on the last day. We can even take the chance to restock at the grocery store for the last nights campfire/picnic/BBQ/Party. (There is even a package store there )

There will be a welcoming committee in Mariefred when the boat lands, but we don't have an official Swedish coordinater at the boat in Stockholm, maybe you all can wear signs that read SKAHO?

I've been exploring the woods behind my house and have found s few areas I think wil work just fine, we may have to split up into a few groups to get us all in there, but there is definately room for 15 crazy hangers near my house.

I plan on revisiting the great overview plan/map that Moski worked on, and double check the distances/times so that the plan works for WEx. I have a friend who did Ćkers Styckebruk-Trosa, which is quite a bit farther than our trip, in two days, so it is going to be an easy pace for us to do our trip in three days.

As I stated before, feel free to PM me if you want to get in touch over Viber/Skype. My wife is busy writing an essay for school during the next two days, so I have some time to concentrate on planning for SKAHO, no trips to the woods for me until later this week.

IŽll be on the boat! I still count as Finnish but i have lived 95% of my life
so far in Sweden so i might be able to pass off as a Swede for that day? ^^

So maybe iŽll be able to craft some sort of sign so people will find me
at the docks on the morning in question? IŽll give out my phone number
aswell in case anyone needs directions and so forth.

Dude, just hook up with Dutch and tell people to look for the two bearded guys with backpacks.

WEx, don't worry about the canoes. I'll ask when I make the reservations, and if it's extra for two pickups, we'll come with you and haul yours back with us for the final night. Me and Pat will be in inflatables, so there's no problem.

Oh I'm so sad that I will miss this! It would be so nice to get to know other hangers in Sweden! But I'll have to settle for next time... Hopefully I'll have lots of new cool diy gear to show off... ;-)

    Have a good one!

Ok ! According to the fact that... there are now more people from EVERY WHERE from all over the world, and from outside of Sweden, Norway, Finland, etc (meaning Scandinavia) : SKAHO 2012 is now the "WHAT-THE-HELL-AND-WHERE-ARE-OUR-SWEDISH-FRIENDS?-HANG-OUT Summer session 2012" => WTHAWAOSF?HO summer session 2012.... (hum... yeah...)

    Allright ?

(Please no STONES... no heavy ones !!! thank you....)

It would be nice if you, all, could make it, MY FRIENDS !
    See you !
I believe in no curse ; just in "few little changes".
