Well, that sucks.
Anyway, for people who are packing, just FYI. We just had the rainiest month in like forever. There are big floods and stuff down south, and they say it's going to continue for another two weeks. IF they are right (and when are they ever right) that should mean a turn for the better right when we start paddling. But please, don't forget the rain gear and tarps.
- Tanstaafl.
- Whoever said "No smoke without fire" never went camping.
- It's just badass to have a yak.
Yeah, bummer that Stormcrow could not join us.
I can imagine that it would have been nice for Dutch to have
a fellow american to speak to. Now, all he will hear on this trip
will sound something like this i guess.
----------------------------------------------------
Phase 1 : Buy Hammock.
Phase 2 : ... ... ...
Phase 3 : Profit!
There will be at least one more American there
haha, yeah i remembered that shortly after my last post! ^^

So I talked to the guide from Gnesta. He said that Prästön, the large island near Gnesta is hard to land canoes on, he doesn't think we will be able to camp there. He also said that the passage through Gnesta to the next lake is easily passable, we have had crazy rainstorms here but by the time we are there it shouldn't be a problem, except when we try to paddle upstream again He also mentioned parking in Gnesta and had some concerns about long term parking, so I think Joz and I will have to park somewhere else, but we already thougt about that. My drybags are in the mail as well!
Yeah gotta love those drybags!
A question btw! Is anyone going to bring along a water filter?
(The water filter that i have, is not very good...)

I was planning on bringing 10 liters in a container and refilling it halfway, in Laxne. I looked at water filters and found one for 40 GBR which was an i line, I would have had to also buy a waterbag and hope it all fit together, a project for next year.
