    SPE HH Opinions

I am considering using a SPE in a HH ULBP. Does anyone here use this set-up or similiar? I am looking for feedback from those who use a bottom loading hammock. In your opinion what are the positives and negatives? I currently use a SS with an open cell foam pad and have to add a 3/4 length CCF pad under 50^. I made the pad out of one of those foam bedding pads from Wmart, the one from Hennessy was too thin, cold back and butt syndrome. I was thinking that since I have to use a pad in the hammock most of the time anyway, I could simplify my set-up with an SPE.

Back when I used a HH ULBP, I used a Speer SPE in it and it worked well. It is a great piece of gear.

I use spe with my HH. I combine it with a z-rest. zrest isn't popular on hf but I like the way I can fold up the bottom to get in and then deploy it once I am in. It also doesn't curl up.

What do you mean " it also doesn't curl up"? Does it allow your knees to bend? The bottom folding is a definite plus.
