    Thanks for the word of caution, I'm aware of that. It looks like the ends go through the stucco walls. I'm guessing there are beams there supporting the ends but I don't know that for sure.

    I'll be wrapping the straps around the beam, so I think that should work great. Only thing I might have a problem with is getting the ends at a 30 degree angle since the space is only 12' long.

    I would personally be concerned about the stresses on the straps when they are pulled into the right angle where the beam meets the joists. That, and the fact that you will probably be leaving them outside hanging, unless you plan to wrap them each time you wanna hang. Which I'm guessing will involve a ladder or step stool of some kind and be a hassle.

    Myself, personally, I think forged stainless steel I(eye) screws with 1/2" ID eyelets are the way to go; carabiners, click-it and forget it.
