Cat Tarp worth the price?

Worth every penny friend. I had a "Mac Cat Deluxe" and had to sell it for personal reasons. Wish I still had it.

If you want a ton of room under a tarp, and you mostly car camp check out the Kelty Noah 16x16. Absolutely huge. Will last much longer than the Target $10 tarp. And you won't give yourself a hernia trying to rig it.

IMHO, that's too much for what you're getting...although you'll hear lots of opinions to the contrary...19oz is pretty heavy for a sil tarp, and why get a really big light tarp?

I have a great little sil tarp that I got for around $50...it weighs about half what the JRB tarp weighs, and cost less than half too...

On trips when I don't care that much about weight, I bring my big HH hex tarp, but if I want a light tarp, then why go halfway?

JRB makes lighter tarps. The one the OP mentioned is a Winter tarp which is heavier and larger.

The JRB 11x10 tarp is one of the best tarps you will get .....
yes it is $130 .... but you get what you pay for ... there are cheaper tarps out there if you look you will find them

but as i found out over the years... you get what you pay for HYOH

If you are handy with a sewing machine and don't mind a little DIY effort (or have a good friend that is) and if you're car camping and weight isn't an issue, give something like this a try...
