Hi all,
I'm not new to the site, but I am new to Northern KY and thought I would try to see who is in the area!

I'm sure some from your area will be at the Greyson Highlands Hang.

Wish I could...I will be in Seattle that week, and if I come home, kiss the wife, and leave for a weekend hang...I may have to learn how to live out of my hammock (not saying that's ALL bad)
Nice to meet you rigidpsycho! Always down to hang...just has to be sun-tues...I work wed-sat.

Welcome to the Mid-West; or as I have come to call it - Corn Country. I'm about an hour North of Louisville on I-65. We are right next door to Brown County State Park, Hoosier National & Yellowwood State Forests, it's like a trifecta of outdoors adventure. Oh! and we have the largest fresh water reservoir in the state, Lake Monroe. If you drive east you will reach the Daniel Boone National Forest there in KY. It is even bigger than all three of ours together. So you are in a good spot for experiencing the great outdoors, for coming from CO.
I know there are several others in the area. However, two words caused me to miss the Hoosier Hang this year, mandatory overtime and I am newer to the forums. So, I haven't met any of them, yet.
Welcome once again.

I'm so sorry.....I know if that happened to me I'd find a bench and sit and cry my eyes out for DAYS upon DAYS upon DAYS!!
FWIW - welcome east...
I'm on the good side of the river, in Ohio.
Welcome to the area. Lots of us live near "Northern KY" or in it. Every now & then we even get together & go campin n stuff.
What part of North Ky you move to? Pretty big area dontchaknow.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.
Welcome to NKY! Several of us around here, and we let Doctari come along if he's been good....

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Thanks guys! I appreciate all of the warm welcomes! Need to get out SOON and hang...
@ Doctari, I am in Union right now...working for Amazon in Hebron.
I think I might go out next weekend, any suggestions? It needs to be pet friendly (I know some state parks and most national parks are not), and a pretty easy hike (it will be the wifey's first overnight hiking experience!) I was thinking the red...any other ideas?
