As others have said 7/64 will be plenty to hold you up. And Dyna glide would work for you as well given people with more mass than your stating have done so successfully.

I like the 1/8th,,super easy to work with,,not a gram counter and as light as it it,,no biggie..but 7/64 works just as good..have 100 ft of it,,so going to use it up.

I've thought about using Dynaglide (I use 7/64 amsteel now) but I'm a bit over 200 and I'm not sure how far I want to push the envelope.

Yeah, but Dyanglide is kinda hard to work with, isn't it? I've been doing some continuos loops and fixed-eyes with Zing-It and it's much harder than the 7/64 Amsteel.

I don't think it's really any harder. What I don't like about it is that it's more stiff. I've never used Zing-It.

I went with 1/8". I am an overkill kind of person though. I'm sure the hammock will fail before my whoopies will.

I'm 280 and opted for the 1/8 mainly because I feel a little overkill is a good thing.

But 7/64 will still get the job done.

Done. 7/64ths on the way. I got 50ft, sounds like that is a general size people get around here? Thanks so much guys. Catavarie- I would be interested in seeing your rig. I'll pm you. On the way to the Warrior Dash today so it'll be after the weekend.

50' is a nice small order. I think I started with 50' as well. I've since order about 200' more. You'd be amazed at how quickly it goes. Whoopies, continuous loops, soft shackles. It's addicting.

I use dyna glide and I'm 185lbs. No trouble yet. 7/64 is easier to splice but dyna glude isn't to bad.
