Smile Knotty's Line: Bowlines and Lark's Heads

Just a couple short videos on two knots we commonly use. Techniques, variations, etc. Knowing just a few knots goes a long way in the woods. It's not all about hardware.

I'm a knot guy myself. Honestly, sometimes the hardware just gets in the way of simplicity.

I've been tying bowlines for a while but I've always tied them first then, for examples, either clipped a mini-biner to them, or run the other end of the line through. Today I realized I knew how to tie to a fixed object using a bowline, as I was tying a tarp to my convertible in advance of these little breezy showers we're getting today...

Sweet! Now I'm a landlubber that can tie a bowline (bow-lynn (I swear, I'll never get used to that )) like an old sea dog. Thanks for the great vids--keep the info coming!

Knotty I watched this video at 10:00pm and then tied a bowline on a traction rig for a femur fracture at 1:00am.

    Mucho thanks amigo!

I like and use knots more than hardware these days. Good work!
