    Hammock Pillow

Well, I really like my WBBB 1.1 DL and am working on getting my whole sleep system together.

My 1st night out I used a normal pillow off my bed. I definitely need some sort of support under my head to sleep comfortably... but what?!

Looking for advice from the vets here. Below are the options I'm currently considering although I'm open to new ideas as well.

    *Inflatable Pillow

    http://www.rei.com/product/797662/exped-air-pillow

    *Stuff Sack / Pillow

    http://www.rei.com/product/781190/th...ff-sack-pillow

    Small Down Pillow

    http://www.rei.com/product/814887/qu...se-down-pillow

    Neck Pillow

    http://www.rei.com/product/813318/th...st-neck-pillow

The 1st 2 are the real contenders right now. The others are just ideas for reference.

    Thanks,
    Sean

I use the red exped and really like it. It works best semi inflated. There was just a big discussions about pillows here.

I like the neck pillow. I took the inflatable part out and just use the felt? cover filled with some extra clothing.

I use a small down pillow. It's just big enough to provide a little support for the back of my neck. Compresses small and provides some warmth.

Many weight conscious members use a stuff sac filled with clothes etc. so they do not have to carry an extra item. Personally, somethings are worth carrying even if they are a single use item.

Not a fan of inflatable pillows as they let your head roll off too easily when you're not centered. The Thermarest Compressible Pillow in size small is nice. Performs much like a regular pillow. Did the stuff sack thing for a while, with limited comfort and success. A nice alternative is the Thermarest Trekker Pillow Case. When stuffed with a down sweater it's the most comfortable option I've tried. A lot will depend on your own needs and preferences.

+1 on the neck pillow fleece cover stuffed with extra clothes, but I also carry an inflatable in my day pack with nano 7 (you know for those emergency naps bankside after a few hours of fishing)

I have tried a couple of pillow options, and found that a small, real pillow case left in the hammock and stuffed with a down sweater or whatever I have brought as upper body insulation works well. It doesn't take much pillow in a hammock.

I got a Snoring Cub from Arrowhead as part of the big sale and used it over the last few days. I love it. I think it's going to turn out to be one of my absolute favorite pieces of gear for hammock camping.

    I use the Total Pillow.

It does take up a good bit of space, but I find it to be very comfortable.
