    Cumberland trail???

    i live about five minutes away from the Cumberland Trail and was wondering if it is a good place for hammock campers.

    Any place with trees is a good place for a hammock.

    From what I understand a lot of this 300 mile planned trail is still under construction. If you live in an area where it is open, head out and enjoy! You might be the first to hang a hammock there!!

    Yes. I was just visiting with Tony (the Executive Director) in the CTC headquarters in Crossville, TN on Friday. He'd have all the info you want and more. I hope to get out on the Cumberland Trail this fall and winter. Did the Prentiss-Cooper figure-8 loop of trails last winter down near you, but tented then.

    CT

    My uncle volunteers and works with trail crews on the CT all the time. I think he told me the longest completed section was 50-60 miles. There is a lot of pretty areas along the proposed CT, once complete it will be a beautiful trail
