    Howdy from Oklahoma!

Hey everyone! I'm excited to be part of this community! I just got back into backpacking this year (after a two decade hiatus). Two trips to Colorado carrying a 5 lb tent and sleeping uncomfortably on hard ground got me looking for a thicker pad... while looking up pads on backpackinglight.com, I stumbled on a review of the Hennessy Ultralight. Overnight in a hammock?! What a $!@#! idea!! What will they invent next?!

Hammock Forums has been a great way to get some tips on getting started. I decided to go with a Hennessy to start (something inexpensive and all-in-one and have discovered Hennessys show up on eBay with some frequency).

You speak with strange tongue... seriously, it's a whole new language (whoopie ties? snakeskins?). I look forward to participating, sharing, and learning.
