Wouldn't you know that about 30 seconds after starting this thread I got the email I had been waiting for saying that my Blackbird is on the way. Dare I dream that it will be here in time for a long weekend...
Rain Man: Thanks for the invite! I've been looking for just such a group in the area. I don't know if I'll get out of work in time for tomorrow, but if there is any way possible I'll be there. If not, I'll catch the next one for sure.
bigbamaguy: I saw a post about that group hang. Sounds like good times. Ever get down to the Sipsey Wilderness? I took my first steps with a backpack there.

You are really going to enjoy your blackbird. Which one did you get?
I have my hammock in hand. My initial reaction upon pulling it out of the mailbox was "I think they forgot to put my hammock in the box". It's so lightweight. I've only been in it briefly but it looks and feel like a superbly made product. Couldn't be happier.
