Sharper Image Hammock

Sharper Image Hammock and stand.
i got this to put in work van so i can lounge on beach at job sites.

i set it up, and thumbs up on easy setup. when i sat in it i could hear treads snapping. first the spreader bar ripped a pocket. then i fell threw.

and no video

was thinking about returning, but hung my nano on it. slept in it last night. Kaia even jumped in (uninvited). thats 300lb and the stand held great.

Hammock gets a ZERO

interesting stand... I may have to look into that. That hammock doesn't look very strong, as noted. Wonder what they rated it to?

Neat that you have a portable stand to take to work sites!

You should call sharper image and give them a chance to make it right. They may take really good care of you, since they are lucky you didn't get seriously injured and decide to sue them. I for one would like to know how the handle their customer service issues like this one.

I searched sharper image's web site, can't find the hammock or stand. Wonder if it's a discontinued item? or I'm blind....

nano, stand and bag 17 lb.

I have one of the Sharper Image hammocks, got it discounted as a floor model at one of their stores. It looks nothing like the one you got, it doesn't have mesh and the stand doesn't have plastic pieces where the pins go into. Mine looks just like the one pictured on the One-a-day site:

One-a-day is notorious for selling cheap Chinese knock-off's of products. Well, at least you got a stand out of it, but make sure to examine it after use, if the stand failed you might be serious hurt by impaling!
