70D is usually a 1.9 nylon from the places that I have ordered from. WB does use 1.1 and has a listed weight on his sight for a double layer hammock, MYOD!!!!!!

Your shipping is based on length and width vs poundage..so that is why the increase in shipping. Cloth is probably on cardboard tube.

It's nice fabric and a sweet deal.

I ordered 20+ yards of the 30d ripstop from them a couple weeks ago and the transaction went smoothly. I had corresponded with several forum members before placing the order and had been advised that the fabric would probably be shipped on a roll, could have writing on small sections, and might be several lengths instead of one continous roll. My order had none of those. The fabric was packed in a plastic bag, not on a roll. After inspecting all 20+ yards the only blemish found was a section about 2 yards long where the pattern was slightly blotchy most likely from too much dye. There was a tag attached to the fabric indicating that it was intended for the production of military poncho liners.

Well do you like the weight and looks of it? If I recall the poncho liner fabric is very soft and almost has a translucent appearance. But nice!

If someone sets up a group buy of this stuff count me in for 20 yards @ $2.50/yard (to account for shipping. shipping & all)

However, I'm just to busy with work & family to organize the buy myself. I'll keep an eye on the group buy forum.

I'd also be interested in 20 yards if anyone is organizing a group buy and would ship the fabrics to Germany as well. I'd so much love to make a digital camo diy-siliconized tarp and much more gear!

They still list several 23-33 yd rolls if a group buy doesn't happen.

As gdw pointed out, the roll I received had some messed up places in the first 4 feet, but the rest of my 24 yd roll was in good shape. I'm sorry to report that I haven't used any of it yet.

I'm glad I found this. I'm purchasing some and can wait until Monday, Sept 12, if anyone is interested in a group buy. I know I'm new to this forum so if someone else wants to organize a buy before then, please do and I'll be in! Otherwise if anyone posts or sends me a PM before noon Eastern time Monday I'll be happy to include it in my order.

Pricing will likely come to about $2/yd plus shipping.

Just in case, this is for ACU digital camo 30d Ripstop (http://store.magnafabrics.com/ACU_Ca...r_Ripstop.html)

I just received 35 yards. I'm going to try some single layer hammocks for myself and the kids. Stuff sacks, and uq's to come later, with a little practice. The material came on a cardboard tube in a plastic bag. 68" wide and supper thin.
