    PLTQ hack job #2

Ok so after learning a couple of things with the PLUQ I decided to make the TQ. I hope that it turns out well as I will be attempting a footbox on this. Keeping fingers crossed.

just a quick tip, just use some omni tape on the bottom (unless you want it permanent) and run some cord in the end, and you can make it multifunction. you can then use it as a traditional TQ, or a blanket, lay it over the ridgeline to make a "green house" or even use it as a UQ if you do it right. lots of options.

I found that a draw cord at one end and either omni tape or a few ties worked well... Keeps it's primary function, too...

Well, I may sew it up just to see if I can. This is some practice as well as practical application items for me. I did consider the idea of it being a stacking UQ piece. I think at the price I can get these at I may do the next one just as some of you have suggested with the omni tape and draw cord.

I have to go get some more grosgrain today so that I can finish the project. Then the pics will come.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. Thats what makes this place such a great place. All of the people here wanting to see the best come out of others projects.

Here is a picture of the thread injector. Singer 301 A. Its a real work horse or at least I have abused it. I would imagine in the hands of the right person it would lay down some nice stitch work.

Took the photo with the phone and while the wife was sleeping. So I hurried the picture and woke her up. Talk about a crappy picture, wake your wife up on her day off and well for those of you who know you know....

    more info please

could you give us more info as to how much material and insulation you used. I'm here with 4 yards waiting to get my poncho liner in the mail and not sure how I will go, either an underquilt or top quilt.
