Last year Jack & Jack of "Jacks Are Better" (JRB) jumped in & took care of getting the privy delivered as well as a few other things. I haven't herd from them here yet but I sure do hope they will be planning to be there.
If not, it would be their first year not attending the original HF Winter Hang" & they would be sorely missed.

I'm gonna go do some pre-testing for the Mt Rogers hang next weekend with WV in the Cranberry Wilderness. Anybody else wanna go?

Just over a month to go gang. So far only 10 have posted they are attending, so if you would, sign on to give us an idea who is planning on being there.
Spread sheet for interest in attending go to the first page, I tried posting the link but, well,,, it don't work here, but it still works on page one.
For those still "On the fence" here is some Incentive for going: NO biting insects, Minimal chance of Hyperthermia, Fewer other hikers so solitude is likely to be easier to obtain, good possibility of snow, GREAT food at the potluck on Sat, & (Provided you packed properly) Great food the rest of the timeThe chance to fully test your cold weather gear.
Remember, NO BITING INSECTS!

I'm going to try and take leave for this. This will be my first cold weather hang, so it's pretty much a race to get the rest of my cold weather stuff built. I will keep this in my subscriptions and let y'all know what I plan on doing. Seems an awful waste considering I'm only a few hours away.

I just returned from West Virginia for the Winter Warm Up Hang and it was 15* overnight there with quite a bit of snow! I pushed my 3 season Incubator just a little past it's comfort zone until I got up & added my down parka under me. That fixed it but an extra pad for my feet would have made it perfect. There will be more in the trip report, will post a link here soon.
