New from Colorado

I came across the idea of a hammock while I was trying to reduce my pack weight and pack size. I decided the tent had to go as the poles are too long to fit in my pack. I considered tarps, but I don't like the idea of water running into the tent.

So here I am. I bought a cheap hammock from Amazon to play with in the yard while I decide what to get for real. It's surprisingly strong, but I don't know how it will last. Last night, I slept my first night in a hammock and was real comfortable.

I'm considering this hammock: Hennessy Hammock Expedition Asym Zip Hammock

Next weekend, I'll probably go car camping with the cheap hammock just to see what happens.

Umm, Denver isn't far away, but I want to know what's for lunch first.

Can't hold me accountable for the sins (never proven) of ancestors.

Just a trailname with a little family history (Donner Party). I'm all about eating cows. Most of the Colorado hangers can vouch for your safety around me. I'm harmless unless you try to hurt my donkeys...then it's on!
