    Yeah Boyeeeee!

It's finally over and done with. I have the money for my Speer Snug Fit Underquilt! I just ordered it and will hopefully have it some time this week or so. I'm sure it'll be here before the SEHHA hang at the end of the month. If Ed's customer service is true to form, it'll probably be here by the middle of the week. Anyway, I can't wait to get it soon! So now I have to figure out what to do for a top quilt so I don't have to lug around the Snug Fit and a sleeping bag. Maybe when tax money comes, a Speer Top Quilt is in order.

You'll be hard pressed to find one used or someone who doesn't like theirs, IMO. Trust me, I looked on Ebay, Craigslist, kept a tight eye here and on WB, just in case. All due respect to the Jacks because they have great products, but Youngblood has designed the state of the art when it comes to underquilts. I had the pleasure and honor of sleeping in a prototype around this time last year and have slept in one borrowed since then and it's a great piece of gear, period. I can't wait to get mine. Congrats on your UQ Hooch. The SnugFit is awesome.

Thanks, HC. Between test driving one of the prototypes last year in Hot Springs and borrowing yours a couple nights, I was totally sold. I've been saving for a while now, even tossing my loose change into a jar to help fund it. It's nice to know that mine is finally on the way.

Save your pennies......it worked for me. Seriously, I saved every extra little bit I had for quite some time to be able to afford this underquilt. I would have had it a litle sooner if I hadn't gotten a Speer Winter Tarp last month. No worries, though. Both great pieces of gear and well worth the time it took to save the money for both. I still have to figure out what to do about a top quilt. I'd like to get a Ray-Way with the alpine upgrade after I get moved. Either that or a Speer Top Quilt. As it stands now, I'll probably get the Speer since I'm sill semi-terrified of sewing. I even butcher stuff sacks.
